Seasonal Positions Available
Macland on Ice | Shift Lead
Position Summary:
The Shift Lead supports rink operations by supervising staff, maintaining a safe and enjoyable environment, and ensuring excellent customer service during assigned shifts. This position serves as the on-duty point of contact for staff and guests, assisting with both front-line and operational responsibilities.
Qualifications:
- Minimum age: 18 years.
- Ability to work scheduled shifts when the rink is open.
- Ability to handle emergencies.
- CPR and First Aid certification preferred
Compensation:
$10-12/Hour
Work Schedule:
Saturdays – 1:30 pm – 9:30 pm (2 – 9 to public)
Private Rentals: Monday-Saturday
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and support all rink staff during assigned shifts, including Ice Captain,
- Registration Assistant, Café, Security Guards and Volunteer staff
- Delegate tasks, monitor performance, and ensure adherence to rink policies.
- Provide direction during opening and closing procedures.
Safety & Operations:
- Monitor ice conditions and ensure resurfacing schedules are followed.
- Enforce safety rules on and off the ice.
- Respond quickly to accidents or emergencies, completing proper incident reports.
Facility Management:
- Oversee cleanliness and upkeep of all areas including rink, restrooms, empty trash and surrounding areas
- Ensure timely opening and closing of rink.
- Report maintenance or equipment issues to management promptly.
Macland on Ice | POS Associate
Position Summary:
The POS Associate is responsible for managing the check-in and registration of skaters to ensure a smooth and efficient customer experience. The POS Associate will check-in pre-paid guests, collect payments, provide the distribution of wristbands and ensure waivers are completed properly.
Qualifications:
- Minimum age: 18 years.
- Ability to multitask in a busy environment.
- Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods and work in various weather conditions.
Compensation:
$10-12/Hour
Work Schedule:
Saturdays – 1:30 pm – 9:30 pm (2 – 9 to public)
Private Rentals: Monday-Saturday
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet customers and provide friendly, professional assistance
- Process payments, issue receipts, and maintain accurate accounting of payments.
- Answer questions regarding pricing, policies, and rink rules.
- Ensure all required waivers and releases are completed before participation.
- Assist with skate rental with appropriate sizing and sanitation of skates upon return
